摘要
于敏中是乾隆朝较有影响的首席汉族军机大臣,参与朝廷军政要务,因其稳重、谨慎、办事干练,精通满、汉文,且文才过人,"拟为诏旨,纤悉周详,曲当无遗";担任修《四库全书》总裁、国史馆、三通馆总裁等要职,在组织编纂官方文献方面发挥了重要作用;其诗文有"文章深厚,诗律闳壮,皆自成家"的特点,并承担编辑乾隆皇帝的诗作的重任。因其在军机处任职20年"自始至终,勤劳弗替,相机拟谕,厥功茂焉",而受到乾隆皇帝的恩宠。
Yu Minzhong, an influential chief Han minister in the Period of Emperor Qianlong, participated in important military and political affairs in the imperial court, and drew up imperial decrees with nothing left carefully and thoroughly, for he was steady, cautious, capable and had a good command of the Machurian language and Chinese, and he also surpassed many others in aptitude for writing. He assumed the office of general compiler of 'Si Ku Quan Shu' and the president of National History Library and San Tong Library and other positions of importance. He played an important role in compiling official documents. His poetry was characterized by a profound philosophy and grand momentum with his own style. He was in charge of compiling the poems by Emperor Qianlong. Emperor Qianlong showed special favour to him, for he had been working hard all the time and drew up imperial decrees in accordance with concrete conditions in the office of military plan for twenty years.
