摘要
本文记述了我国常见的切叶蚁亚科(Myrmicinae)大头蚁属(Pheidole)的两个新种.本属的主要特征是:工蚁明显地分为大型工蚁(兵蚁)和小型工蚁(工蚁);分类学上主要以大型工蚁为主、小型工蚁为辅.大型及小型工蚁的触角末端的触角棒由3节组成,少数由4节组成.本文描述的两个新种,均由4节触角棒组成.
Two new species of ants belonging to the genus Phtidole collected from Zhejiang and Fujian province were described in this paper. The type specimens were kept in Department of Plant Protection, Zhejiang Agricultural University,Hangzhou,China.Pheidole shoushanensis Li et Chen.sp. nov.Major workeriLength:4. 9 mm,black;antennae and legs lighter,somewhat brown;head a little longer than broad. Mandibles longitudinally striate;scape of antennae long,reaching the top of the head ; flagellum with the club formed of 4 subequal joints. Pedicel rather thick,the 1st node slightly small or than the 2nd node. Abdomen oval.Holotype ψ.paratype 1ψ,Daishan,Zhejiang, 1982-VI-11,collected by Li Shen and Huang Enyou.Pheidole meihuaihanensis Li et Chen ,sp. nov.Major worker: Length 1 8. 1 mm, dark brown ; flagellum and legs lighter, somewhat yellowish brown. Head posteriorly emarginate;mandibles triangular,longitudinally striate;scape of antennae short,reaching about half of the distance between their insertion and the top of the headl flagellum with the club formed of 4 subequal joints,Pedicel thick,the 1st node narrow,seen from the side,trangular,2nd node is two times as wide as the 1st one.Minor worker:Similar to major worker with the head much smaller. Length,3. 8-4. 0,yellowish brown.Holotype ψ.paratype 6 ψ,6 ,Meihuashan,Shanghang,Fujian,1988-VI-23,collected by Li Shen.
