摘要
《万象》创刊于上海“孤岛”时期,终刊于沦陷时期,是20世纪40年代上海的一份很有影响的综合杂志,销量十分可观。《万象》的编辑宗旨是趣味盎然,“拳头产品”是长篇连载小说。它的海派特色就是作者、文体、内容、风格、趣味各方面的包罗万象以及鲜明的地方色彩。其中颇可称道的是长篇小说的连载技巧、对通俗文学的讨论及本埠作家的方言写作。
Everything is a very popular comprehensive magazine in Shanghai of 1940s. It began in July of 1941 and ended in June of 1945, aiming at escapement and amusement. The most influential column was series novels featured school of Shanghais literature. It embodied the locality in contents, styles and language of each issue, especially in its techniques of series novels, its comments on popular literature and discussion on dialect creation.
