摘要
在中国文论的历史叙述中论及"修辞立其诚"的时候,应对之作寻本探源的考察和重新解释。所谓"修辞",乃存在着修省与修饰两个维度,或者说偏重于反求内心之真善与倾向于追逐外饰之美两条路径;所谓"立诚",就是要确立或者呈现内心之经验性真实,或者宇宙、人间的普遍真理;所谓"修辞立其诚",就是以文辞之修饰或者"修省"而实现对内心之经验性或者宇宙、人间的真理性的表达。
In throwing 'Refining Language to Establish Truth' into Chinese literary theory it is necessary to make a basic and complete study and a new explanation. 'Refining Language' lies in two dimensions: introspection for good and polish for a shiny surface. 'Establishing Truth' means expressing one's sincerity or speaking out the universal truth of the world. Then, 'Refining Language to Establish Truth' means unfolding one's heart or revealing the truth of the world in choice words.
