The project 'High Speed Data Channel for Holographic Storage Based on Network Processor' utilized the Intel network processor IXP1200 as data engine to construct a system. In this paper architectural features of the network processor were introduced, a network processor was put forward based on object architecture of the data channel, the function of the processor within the system was described and the idea of implementation was provided.
