The technical development and the latest research on the two fields of Shinkansen high-speed trains and speed increased trains on existing lines in Japan are described completely. The research and technical application of vehicle dynamics are mainly expounded, including computer dynamic simulation, rolling and vibration test stand, bogie design, wheel tread profile, aerodynamic force of train, active suspension, speed increase on curve as well as car-body tilting technique and active guiding, etc.
