生物特征识别技术的发展与应用

摘要 生物特征识别是一种根据人体自身所固有的生理特征和行为特征来识别身份的技术 ,即通过计算机与光学、声学、生物传感器和生物统计学原理等高科技手段密切结合 ,利用人体固有的生理特性 (如手形、指纹、面部特征、虹膜、视网膜等 )和行为特征 (如笔迹、声音、步态等 )来进行个人身份的鉴定。生物特征识别技术具有不易遗忘、防伪性能好、不易伪造或被盗、随身“携带”和随时随地可用等优点。 Biometric recognition,or simply biometrics,refers to the automatic recognition of individuals based on their physiological and/or behavioral characteristics.By using biometrics it is possible to confirm or establish an individual's identity based on “who she is”,rather than by “what she possesses”(e.g.,an ID card) or “what she remembers”(e.g.,a password).In this paper,we give a brief overview of the field of biometrics.
