摘要
诗歌的翻译究竟应该翻译什么?诗歌作为文学作品,是形式和意义的统一,在翻译时必须考虑译诗的文学性,而文学性离不开传统,作为文学性的一种表现形式的陌生化总是相对于一定的传统。在翻译过程中,由于语言本身的差异及文学传统的不同,拘泥于原文的"建构形式"往往会失去原来的陌生化效果,从而丧失文学性。所以,诗歌翻译不仅仅是意义的阐释和重建,而且也是形式的移植,但绝不是拘泥于原文形式。
What should be the content of the translation of poetry? Since poetry is the unity of form and meaning, literariness must of necessity be taken into consideration in the translation of poetry. On the other hand, literariness is always dependent on tradition, so defamiliarization as an expression of literariness is relative to a given literary tradition. And in translation, if we stick to the 'constructive form' of the original text to the letter, we may more often than not fail to achieve defamiliarization and thus literariness due to the difference between the literary traditions as well as two languages. Therefore, the translation of poetry is not only the hermeneutics and reconstruction of meaning, but also the transplanting of form, which, however, must not be an ultimatum.
