摘要
鸡桑枝条扦插比其它桑品种容易生根,成活率高达90%以上.对鸡桑、湖桑32号、桐乡青,南一号、广东桑等枝条解剖表明,鸡桑的皮孔特别大,皮部、韧皮部、木质部均薄,髓部极大,髓射线多,扦插后其皮层、形成层、木质薄壁组织、髓射线交界处均有细胞分裂分化形成新根.我们认为,鸡桑扦插成活率高与其枝条解剖构造有密切关系,与扦插容易生根的葡萄、夹竹桃、泡桐、刺桐、黄桷树等枝条解剖构造相近。
The shoot cuttings of Morus australis,quite different from those of other Morus spe-cies.root readily and their survival rate is as high as 90 percent or more.An anatomical ex- amination of M.australia,on the one hand,and M.multicaulia varieties “Husang 32”,“Tongxiang Qing” and “Nanchong I” and M.atropurpurea Roxb.,on the other,revealedthat M.australia shoots have very large lenticels,thin bark,phloem and xylem,enormouspith and numerous pith rays as compared with those of either M.multicaulis or M.atropurpurea.An observation of the planted cuttings of M.australia showed that cell divi-sion and differentiation occurred on the joint surfaces of cortex,cambium,xylemparenchyma and pith rays,and the differentiated tissues protruded from the epidermis toform new roots.It is postulated that the ready rooting of M.australis cuttings is closely as-sociated with the anatomical structure of its shoots.Such a conclusion is supported by thefact that the shoots of grape(Vitis vinifera),oleander(Nerium indicum),paulownia(Paulownia fortunei),Brythrina indica and Ficus lacor,which also root readily,have similaranatomical structures to those of M.australis.Therefore,the results of the present studymay be considered to be a development of the theory that roots originated from rootprimodia or from calli.
