Effect of Reservoir sedimentation on Earthquake-induced Dynamic Water Pressure

摘要 假定淤砂为多孔弹性介质,探讨其对地震动水压力的影响。结果表明,对于饱和淤砂,动水压力波的吸收主要来自于基础,但淤砂层含有少量气体时,淤砂层对动水压力影响较大。 A sediment layer of considerable depth may be deposited on top of exposed foundation. The effect of sediment on the dissipation and damping of earthquake-induced hydrodynamic waves is greatly neglected in earlier studies. The present work assumes the sediment to be a poroelastic medium and investigates into its additional absorption and dissipation effects on the hydrodynamic pressure waves. The resuit shows that for saturated sediment, the absorption of hydrodynamic pressure waves mainly comes from foundation. But there is great effect on hydrodynamic pressure when sediment layer contains a little gas.
