红脂大小蠹是危害油松的国内新记录种。该害虫在河北省内邱县行家峪林区 1年发生 1代或 2年发生 3代 ,世代重叠严重。成虫的雌雄性比为 1∶1 ,雄成虫鞘翅与腹部末端可摩擦发音。成虫主要危害距地面 40cm以下的树干 ,雌成虫先侵入 ,后雄虫被诱来协同蛀孔。蛀道一般有上下 2个或 2个以上蛀孔 ,雄成虫与雌成虫交尾后多离去。雌成虫边蛀食边产卵 ,产卵后多死亡。成虫在 5月和 7～ 8月有
Red turpentine beetle (Dendrocotnus valen s LeConte) is a new recorded species that attacks Chinese pine ( P inus tabulaeformis Carr) in China. The insect occurs one generation a y ear or three generations two years with generation overlapping. The ratio of mal e and female is 1∶1. The male can pronounce by its elytra and belly rubbing. This pest mainly attack the trunk in the range of 40 cm from ground, and the female adult firstly intrude into trees, then the male a dult be lured to the tree as a result of pheromones, they will build a passage t oge ther. There are two or more holes in a passage. After mated, the male left a nd the female in the passage laid eggs, and then the female died. There are two flying summit of adult period in May and July to August in a year.
