摘要
通过对美、英两国西文图书在版编目的内容进行分析,并结合笔者英文编目的实际经验,认为在版编目不能全盘套用国外模式,而应根据各馆分类规则和读者检索习惯的不同,有选择地利用在版编目数据。
By comparing the book listing system of UK and US,the author makes the following conclusions:we should not totally copy the listing system of western countries,but set up a new system based on different rules in different library departments and the habit of readers.
