摘要
从麦迪霉紊产生菌 S.mycarofaciens 1748中筛选分离到一株无活性变株68,对其进行了培养特征、生理生化特性及阻断部位的研究。
A stable mutant No.68 was obtai-ned by treatment of S.mycarofaciens1748 spores at high temperature.Theelectromicroscopic examination has sho-wn that the mutant No.68 and parentstrain 1748 both have the spore chainsof the spiratype.The spores of bothstrain are cylindrical in shape.The onlydifference is that the spores of the mu-tant No.68 are of smooth surface,butthe 1748 are of thorny.The physiologi-acal characteristics of both strains arealso very similar with slight differencesin utilization of few carbon sources andin cultural characters in few medium.Feeding experiment has shown that themutant No.68 was blocked in the fo-rmation of the macrolide lactone in themidecamycin biosynthetic pathway.Thissuggested that the mutant No.68 mightbe a polyketide synthase genes deficientmutant.The ability of the mutant No68 to convert spiramycin into 4″-propi-onylspiramycin indicated that the muta-nt No.68 contained the midecamycin4″-propionyltransferase and could be usedfor microbial bioconversion of spiramycininto 4″-propionylspiramycin.
