With the development of electronicl and imagine commincation technology, Realtime video compression technology tends to maturity.In this article, the author mainly discusses the development based on DSP for realtime video compression technology.After clarifying the theory of signal and image processing ,the author illuminats the choice of main hardware in detail.In the end,the developing environment and choice of software are presented.
