摘要
本文从类联接、搭配这两个与词汇知识深度相关的关键层面入手 ,利用中国英语学习者语料库 ,指出学习者在词汇知识深度上的问题和不足与未能充分掌握常用词在使用时的典型类联接和搭配直接相关 ,亦即未能充分掌握词块。作者进而提出
From the perspective of two key aspects_colligation and collocation_relevant to the depth of word knowledge, and based on learner corpus, the present paper reveals that the problems and inadequacies of Chinese English learners with respect to the depth of word knowledge are immediately relevant to their insufficient mastery of the typical colligations and collocations in the use of common words. In addition, the paper introduces the notion of chunk, pointing out that the above inadequacies are caused by the incomplete mastery of the chunks closely related to the use of these common words. Such being the case, the author proposes that one major focus of English vocabulary teaching and learning should be chunks.
