摘要
文章阐述了高校图书馆应利用本校学科优势和馆藏优势建设特色数据库,以及特色数据库建设项目的选题原则和选题策略。同时介绍了天津大学图书馆利用清华同方TPI系统自建的特色数据库的进展情况。
Abstract: In this paper, the authors expound that we, the librarians of university libraries, should utilize the advantage of academic subjects in our own schools and the superiority of collections in our own libraries to develop characteristic databases. And the authors summarize the principles and the strategies of selecting the topics of characteristic databases. At the same time, the authors introduce the progress of Tianjin University Library using 'Tsinghua Tongfang Profession Information'(TPI) system.
