摘要
对过去十年中(1993—2002)刊登在国内八种外语类核心期刊上有关英语写作研究的文章进行检索统计，结果显示：(1)在过去十年间，写作研究呈逐步上升趋势；(2)研究涵盖了写作的各个主要方面——篇章结构、教学法、写作与相关课彰学科的关系、评估与测试、影响写作的因素、写作中语言的使用以及学生作文中出现的错误或失误等；(3)研究方法以非材料性研究为主，实证性研究为辅。通过对研究现状的分析，我们发现，目前研究中存在着内容重复、实证性研究比例偏低、对学习主体研究相对薄弱、缺乏客观科学的评估手段等问题。我们预测，未来写作研究将呈现如下趋势：研究范围更加广泛、多种研究方法结合并用、研究对象以学习者为主体、计算机软件和网络等手段将广泛应用于写作研究。
A survey of articles concerning EFL writing in China, as published in eight of the major linguistic journals in the past decade, shows that there has been a steady increase in the number of papers in this field of study. The research covers a wide range of topics (which can be put into seven major categories) in relation to EFL writing. In regard to research methods, non-material research plays a dominant role, with empirical studies taking up a small percentage. Further analysis reveals that certain problems exist in contemporary research, such as repetitious research on some topics, disproportionate use of the empirical research method, inadequate attention paid to the learner, and lack of scientific and objective means of evaluation and test. It is predicted that future studies on EFL writing will cover a wider range of topics, make a balanced and combined use of different research methods, give priority to the learner and make better use of computer software and the internet.
