摘要 研究了小波技术在DEM数据无损压缩中的应用,采用JPEG2000标准时DEM数据进行无损压 缩。实验结果表明,该方法与传统方法相比,不仅具有更高的压缩效率,而且具有更好的编码传输特性。 DEM(Digital Elevation Model) is a kind of terrain model which has comprehensive uses. Because of its large amount data, how to realize efficient lossless compression of DEM is a very important problem. This paper firstly analyses the characteristic of the data of DEM,then studies the application of wavelet in the lossless compression of DEM, gives an approach for data lossless compressing based on JPEG2000 standard. It also gives a group of experiment results, which proves that the approach possesses high compression ratio,and a good property of transmission.
