摘要
该文通过对刘光汉于 1 90 6年发表的《论中国宜建藏书楼》一文的分析 ,从对“以书籍自私”的批判和对“学术者天下之公器也”的倡导两个方面比较全面地阐述了刘光汉的公共图书馆思想及其历史影响。
Analyzing the paper of “China Should Establish Public Library” by Liu Guanghan in 1906, this paper comprehensively describes the public library ideals of Liu Guanghan and its historical influence in the history of Chinese librarianship in the modern times including criticizing the traditional ideal of “self—centered collections” and promoting the new ideal of “knowledge is the public implement for the World”.
