摘要 新西兰已成为世界上在人工造林事业中取得辉煌成就的少数几个国家之一.新西兰人工造林的成功在很大程度上得益于对辐射松进行的遗传改良研究.本文根据最新资料对新西兰辐射松的遗传改良策略、育种体系、种子园经营技术、无性系林业的发展等方面进行了全面的综迷,并提出了加快我国林木遗传改良研究进程的对策. This paper gives an overall review on the latest advances in research on geneticimprovement of Pinus radiata in New Zealand according to the ncwest literature pub-lished in the world. The major success in research on genetic improvement of Pinusradiata in New Zealand is as follow: (1) A long-term breeding strategy including generesource population, breeding population, seed (plant) production population hasbeen formulated; (2) A system of genetic improvement including mating type, selec-tion criteria. progeny test, field design and analytic evaluation etc. has been formed;(3) Many types of seed-orchards such as those practicing open-pollination, hedgecontrolled pollination. and controlled pollination inclose planting are established;(4) Technical difficulty of propagation of cuttings at different ages has been solved anda great success is made in research on tissue culture and artifficial seed; (5) Obvious genetic gain is gotten by clonal forestry. Progresive study in genetic improvement ofPinus radiata provides technical guarantee for afforestation in New Zealand. Drawingon the experience of New Zealand, the author puts forward a fundamental strategy forpromoting the development of tree genetic improvement in China: A long-term breed-ing strategy should be formulated as soon as possible exploitation and utilization of generesources should be enhanced; active research on application of biotechnology to treegenetic improvement should be made; clonal breeding and the relevant techniquesshould be gradually developed.
