Microsoft的分布式组件对象模型技术(DCOM)扩展了组件对象模型技术(COM),使其能够支持在局域网、广域网甚至Internet上不同计算机对象之间的通讯。使用DCOM的应用程序就可以在位置上达到分布性,从而满足客户和应用的需求。
The Microsoft Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) extended the Component Object Model (COM) tosupport communication among objects on different computers on a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN),or even the Internet. With DCOM, the application could be distributed at locations that made the most sense to customer andto application.
