摘要
本文旨在通过女主人公亚力山德拉在开垦西部荒野过程中所扮演的三个角色,即:作为人与自然的中介人、雌雄两性的沟通者和新旧文明的缔结者,来分析拓荒女对美国西部文明所做的贡献。
This paper mainly analyzes the pioneer woman, Alexandra Bergson in the novel O Pioneers! through the three roles she plays in the process of bringing civilization to the American West: an intermediary between man and nature, a combination of masculine and feminine qualities and a bridge between the old and the new world.
