摘要
新时期最鲜明的特点是改革开放．本文从杭州应用工程技术学院在改革开放中诞生、在改革开放中成长、在改革开放中前进的实践中，论述了是改革开放为杭州应用工程技术学院的发展注入蓬勃生机，成为教育部确定的学习德国高等教育的模式、培养高等应用型工程技术人才试点院校的基本经验．
The new era features reform and opening、Hangzhou Institate of Applied Engineering was born and has been growing during the process. This artical expounds that it is reform and opening that renders it pos- sible for HIAE to flourish so greatly and was hence named by the Ministry of Education an experimetal college to cultivate higher technical personnel of appied-fype by means of German pattern of highe education.
