倒木是天然森林生态系统的重要组成部分,在生态系统结构和功能方面起着重要作用。它们的存在不但具有减少水土流失、影响土壤发育,提供动植物生境的功能,而且起到贮存营养、碳素和水分,供给养分和能量的作用。倒木贮量的调查是评价倒木生态功能的基础。以往国内森林凋落物研究中。
The composition, biomass and nutrient storage of fallen trees and snags are surveyed in major forest types of Korean pine-deciduous mixed forest at Changbai Mountain Natural Reserve. The amount and biomass of fallen trees and snags range from 82 logs·ha^(-1),5 snags ·ha^(-1) and 7.9t·ha^(-1), 1.71t·ha^(-1) in Korean pine-broadleaved forest to 94 logs·ha^(-1),20 snags ·ha^(-1) and 16.23t·ha^(-1), 7.34t·ha^(-1) in broadleaved-Korean pine forest. Fallen tree and snag compositions in these two forest types are respectively similar to their stand compositions. Fallen trees and snags are important nutrient pools in Korean pine-deciduous mixed forest, especially for their 28.96 and 43.27 kg·ha^(-1) storage of Nitrogen. They are a part of forest detritus that should be included in forest detritus survey and be well reserved in forest land after forest cutting.
