本文从衰老的自由基损伤学说出发研究了人参茎叶皂甙的抗衰老作用。结果表明,人参茎叶皂甙能显著地抑制小鼠脑、肝组织中的脂质过氧化,提高红细胞中超氧化物歧化酶含量和过氧化氢酶活性,并对大鼠大脑皮质和肝脏中脂褐素生成有显著的抑制作用.提示人参茎叶皂甙具有较强的抗氧化作用,并可能具有抗衰老活性。
In the present paper the possible anti-aging effect of ginseng stem-leaf saponin (GSL) is studied in terms of the free radical theory of aging. The results show that GSL, at the doses of 50, 100 mg/kg given intragastrically to mice for 15 days, inhibits significantly the formation of lipid peroxide in the brain, however when at the dose of 100mg/kg it only shows inhibitory effect in liver. GSL, when given at 100 mg/kg i.g. for 30 days, decreases the lipofuscin content in rat cerebral cortex and liver (p<0.05). The lipofuscin content shows a decreasing tendency in the heart but not in the kidney. GSL at 50,100 mg/kg i.g, increases the content of superoxide dismutase from 488± 65.3μg/gHb to 614±59.6 (p<0.01) and 625+63.1(p<0.01) μg/gHb, respectively, in the blood of mice after 15 days' treatment. At the dose of 100 mg/kg it can also increase the catalase activity in mouse blood. Evidently the results suggest that GSL has an anti-peroxidative action. Our results support the hypothesis that GSL, somewhat like ginseng, may possess anti-aging effect.
