元数据对于海洋地质调查与研究数据的管理、共享与利用具有十分重要的作用 ,以ISO1 91 1 5地理信息元数据标准为基本标准建立了海洋地质调查与研究专用元数据标准 ,该标准将有助于海洋地质调查与研究数据的规范化描述 。
Metadata become very important in the management of sharing and efficient use of marine geological data,with the expansion of digital geological data.Based on ISO/19115 Geographic Metadata International Standard,Marine Geological Survey and Research Metadata Profile is drawn.This profile will provide data producer with appropriate information for characterizing their data properly and facilitating data management as well as data discovery and reuse.
