作者概述了软件工程发展中存在的一些现象,指出软件工程教育仍没有达到它应该达到的状态。为了改进新千年的软件工程教育,作者提出了一些观点:未来的软件工程师,应认识到软件的发展需要加强管理和改进的手段。下一代的教师应充分了解所教课程的有关理论,把所使用的方法、符号的语法和完整的语义都教给学生。在教学中应教理论和标准,不仅要教程序语言,而且要教怎样编程序。
The writer outlines the symptoms on development of software engineering. Softwareengineering education is still not as good as it could be.For improving software engineering education of the new century, this author suggests some ideas. Someone who is trying to learn to be a software engineer of the future should realize that software development needs to be managed and progress measured. Teachers of the next generation should have a full understanding of the theory behind any topic they teach and teach both the syntax and the full semantics of any notation or method we use. Teach abstraction, formal methods are good vehicle for this. We should not teach a programming language, but teach how to program.
