摘要
本文研究了超高压高温条件下生长的立方氮化硼(cBN)晶体的结晶形态。实验发现在我们的条件下生长的规则形状的 cBN 单晶多为正四面体和负四面体组成的聚形,该晶体一般具有两组大小不同的{111}晶面。本文将晶体的极性生长效应应用到具有部分离子性的 cBN 晶体上,解释了“N”表面和“B”表面具有不同生长速度的现象。同时,根据二维成核生长理论和凹入角生长机制初步解释了低温生长时 cBN 晶体常出现的厚板状“尖晶石律”双晶。
The crystal morphology of cubic boron nitride(cBN) which grewunder ultra high pressure and high temperature has been studied in this paper.It is found that most of the regular cBN crystals obtained under our experi-mental conditions are combinations of positive and negtive tetrahedroids,whi-ch have two groups of different {111} faces.The phenomenon that crystalgrowth rate on N surface is different from that of B surface is explained ba-sed on the polarity growth effect which has been applied to cBN crystals withbonds containing partly ionity.The thick-plate shaped “Spinel-like” twinsoffen appear in cBN under the growth conditions of low temperature are pre-liminarily explained according to the mechanism of re-entrant corner growth.
