摘要
本文讨论旋转对称性的概念和形式及其与研究型大学学科建设的关系。将对称性的理论引入研究型大学的学科布局和建设之中。以麻省理工学院和加州理工学院为案例,研究其学科建设的情况,作出她们的学科布局具有三阶旋转对称性的结论。提出演化和优化是构建研究型大学旋转对称性学科布局的一对创新力量并分析其互动关系。
This paper discusses the relationship between the concept s of sym metry and a research university's discipline construction. The theory of sy mmetr y is applied to the disciplines distribution of a research university. The concl usion is raised that the cyclic symmetry of disciplines distribution shou ld be a critical characteristic of a research university. A case study is made from th e view of structure of disciplines, academic research, academic staff an d postgr aduate education, which exhibits the disciplines structure's three dime nsions cy clic symmetry in Massachusetts Institute of Technology and California Institute of Technology. This paper suggests that evolution and optimization ar e innovatio n forces that develop the cyclic symmetry of disciplines distributio n of a rese arch university.
