The reasons causing common defects of evaporative pattern castings and the measures to prevent defects were described in detail.The reason and prevention of nine kinds of defects including mould collapse, penetration; plethora, cold shut,surface hole,internal inclusion,shrinkage,uneven structure and properties, was introduced in this part of the article.
