摘要
在信息社会,因特网的兴起改变了传统图书馆的信息传播方式,在一定程度上满足了社会对信息的需求。但是,因特网在给人们提供便捷的发布、查找、利用信息的同时也逐渐暴露了网络信息自身的严重缺陷——信息污染,网络越发展,信息越膨胀,人们检索到有用信息的难度就越大,对此,应运而生的数字图书馆利用了网络技术的优势,集中了网络信息与传统图书馆文献各自的特点;然而,数字图书馆也有其自身的局限性,无法代替网络信息和传统图书馆的作用。在信息社会中,它们作为同一信息保障体系的不同组成部分,将发挥各自的特点和优势,长期共存下去。
In the world of information, the rise of Internet has changed the traditional pattern of information spreading of the library, and, has, to a certain extent, met the world' s demand of information. But at the same time of providing users with convenience and speed in releasing, finding and using information, Network has also revealed serious inherent drawbacks in its information-liability to pollution information expansion increasing with the development of Networks, which leads to greater difficulty to find the information needed. To cope with this, digital libraries arise at the historic moment to take advantage of Network technology, gathering together the respective merits of Network information and traditional library documents. However, digital libraries has its own limitations as well and can not take the place of Network information and the traditional library. In an information world, they are to coexist for a long time as different component parts of the same information security system, giving play to their own strong points and superiority.
