摘要
数据压缩是解决海量数据远程传输的关键技术,编解码速度和重建图像质量是评价压缩系统性能的重要指标。论文介绍了作者自行设计和实现的一个海量遥感影像压缩系统,给出了该系统的工作原理和实现方法。
Data Compression is now essential for remote sensing image storage and transmission.Unlike common images,remote sensing images are generally very large,and are further processed.Compression algorithms fit for them are sub-jected to special demands on speed and image quality.To ensure that the″information″inherent in the data not harmed by the compression,quasi-lossless compression is widely used for the purpose.This paper describes the principle and structure of a real-time compression of high-resolution optical remote sensing images in image databases.Despite its simplicity,it is as efficient as the best image codec in the literature.For large remote sensing gray images of100MB with an intensity of8bits /pixel,the system can achieve an average compression or decompression speed of3.5MB/s(about 30s)on PC Pentium IV1.7GHz.The Main Features of ImagZip2.0include:1.Heavily optimized algorithm plus pipeline structure.2.Embedded coding enabling arbitrary Rate-distortion control.3.Fast image preview.4.Windows ,Solaris multi-platform compatible.5.Provide C++,Java API Interface.
