网络路径容量测量算法仿真研究

摘要 网络路径容量的测量在网络管理、网络规划与设计、提高网络应用程序的性能等方面,都具有重要意义。现有的网络路径容量测量工具都是采用Packet Pair测量算法设计的,这些测量工具在实际使用中的性能不尽人意。Packet Pair测量算法的ns-2仿真测量分析表明:网络在重载时Packet Pair测量算法不能正确测量出网络路径的容量;Packet Pair测量算法中的测量分组的长度并不是采用最大值为最佳。根据仿真测量分析的结论,提出了Double Packet Pair网络路径容量测量算法,改进了原有算法测量速度慢,重载环境下测量精度不高的缺点。 It is important to measure the network path capacity for network management, network design and network applications. The existed tools for measuring the network path capacity are based on the Packer Pair algorithm and they do not work well in all kinds of the network conditions. In this paper, the performance of the Packet Pair algorithm is analyzed by simulating measurement under ns-2 environment. The analysis shows that the Packer Pair algorithm can not measure the network path capacity correctly in condition of heavy network loads and it is not optimal to use the maximal packet size in packet pair. To solve these problems, a new algorithm called Double Packet Pair algorithm is put forward. Compared with the old algorithm, the Double Packet Pair algorithm has the higher accuracy and higher measurement speed.
