摘要
本文记述方板蝗属Squaroplatacris 1新种,小方板蝗Squaroplatacris elegans,sp.nov.。该新种近似于紫胫方板蝗S.violatibialis Liang et Zheng,主要区别为:体型较小,眼间距宽度狭于颜面隆起宽,前胸背板前缘平直,前胸背板后横沟位于背板中部或中后部,中胸腹板侧叶间中隔长为宽的1.2—1.3倍。
In this paper, a new species of grasshopper from Xinjiang is reported. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.Squaroplatacris elegans, sp. nov. (Figs. 1-5)This new species resembles Squaroplatacris violatibialis Liang et Zheng, 1987 and may be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: 1) body smaller, 2) anterior margin of the pronotum straight; 3) the third sulcus in the middle or behind middle of pronotum; 4) interocular space narrower than the width of frontal ridge; 5) the length of interspace of mesosternal lobes larger than width about 1.2-1.3 times.Length of body: (?) 18.5-19 mm, (?) 29 mm; Length of pronotum: (?) 2.5-3 mm, (?) 6 mm; Length of elytra: (?) 17-17.5mm, (?) 26.5mm; Length of hind femur: (?) 12-13 mm, (?) 18mm.Holotype (?) , allotype (?), paratype 1 (?) , Kuytun, Xinjiang, 10-Ⅷ-1990, collected by Cao Limin.
