摘要
本文就联合国教科文组织关于抢救与保护人类口头和非物质遗产的动议及其“人类口头和非物质遗产代表作”、“世界记忆工程名录”实施的理念、目的意义结合我国现状作出简要评述；并对抢救 、保护仅有母语而无文字、人口较少民族的口头与非物质遗产的必要性，作出呼吁。
This article deals with the goal of UNESCO's new motion for safeguarding and preserving the oral & intangible heritage of humanity and the importance of preserving the oral heritages of the nationalities in northwestern China which have sparse population and no characters.
