The latest issue of "Asia Week," a Hong Kongbased magazine, ranks PetroChina as the most profitable company among "Asian Top 1000." This is the first time this magazine has released the ranking. Japan's car giant Toyota tops the ranking in terms of the business turnover. Japan has the most enterprises selected in the ranking, 711 ones, while ROK has 67 enterprises, the second in terms of number. There are 34 Chinese enterprises selected into the ranking, of which China State Power Company, Sinopec Corp. and PetroChina are among the first 50 enterprises. The net profit of PetroChina is as high as US$5.6551 billion, ranking first among top 1000 enterprises in Asia for its profitability.
