摘要
本文在正弦函数调制的灰度位势图的基础上,利用磁通量管和凹凸映射的概念,提出了一种用于显示磁场的光照明模型。其基本思想是为磁通量管图像上的每个像素建立适当的材料颜色和法向量,然后施加光源照明,利用Phong光照模型,绘制出磁场的图像。这种图像表现了有立体感的磁通量管形象,能很好地同时表达出磁场矢量的方向和强弱。该方法实现了场域内磁场的密集采样,生成的磁场图像速度快、质量高,显著地提高了灰度图像对矢量磁场的表现能力。
Based on Sinusoidal function Modulated Potential (SMP) maps, this paper presents a new algorithm for displaying planar magnetic fields using the concept of flux tubes and bump mapping. The magnetic field is visualized by Phong illumination model through designed material hue and normal vector in every flux tubes images' pixel. The images rendered show the appearance of 3D flux tubes, whose orientation and width reflect the direction and amplitude of field vectors respectively. The approach realized the continuous visualization in the fields, has some unique properties such as high texture synthesis speed and high images quality, and boosted the representation ability of the gray images for the vector electromagnetic fields.
