摘要
从语言学的角度来说 ,语言与文化是密切相关、不可分割的。而语言中的词汇是文化最显著的反映 ,它最能体现一个民族的社会文化特征 ,因此许多词汇都带有特定的文化信息。本文对英语中富含文化内涵的词汇、习语及颜色词中的文化意义进行剖析 ,从词汇的角度揭示出不同民族在习俗、历史、地理、认知等方面的不同的文化特性。
From the perspective of linguistics, language and culture are interrelated and can not be separated from each other But the vocabulary of a language can be said to provide the most obvious reflection of the culture of the people who speak it, and the sociocultual characteristics of the people Thus many lexical items bear specific cultural information The present article provides an analysis on the cultural connotations of culture-loaded words,idioms and color terms in English, and reveals the different cultural characteristics of different nations in the aspects of customs,history,geography and cognition from the angle of vocabulary
