amino desacetoxycephalosporanic acid(7 ADCA) is a key intermediate for the preparation of synthetic commercial cephalosporins. up to date, the methods favored in industry to prepare 7 ADCA involved complex chemical steps. These complex chemical processes are both expensive and noxious to the environment. With the increasing knowledge of strain improvement techniques, the production level of antibiotics increased dramatically in the past years. As a result, a lot of inventions related to the bioprocess of preparing 7 ADCA were reported. In this paper, several methods were reviewed, the entire synthsis of which, accordingly, was carried out using bioprocesses, and it is efficient and economical.
