摘要
JEFC是由人民教育出版社和英国朗文出版公司联合编写的初中英语教材 ,1993年在全国推广使用。经过八年的使用 ,2 0 0 0年又成功地对其进行了修订。本论文分析了JEFC产生的社会背景 ,探讨了外语教材评价标准 ,并根据标准对JEFC进行了分析评价 ,指出JEFC在中学外语教学的发展中起到了积极的推动作用。
JEFC (Junior English for China) was jointly compiled by the Peoples Education Press (China) and Longman Publishing Corporation (Britain) in 1993. After 8-year trial teaching in the middle schools, it was successfully revised in 2000. The present paper first gives a preliminary analysis to the background of JEFC, and then argues the criteria for the ELT (English language teaching) coursebook evaluation, for which JEFC is evaluated. It is believed that JEFC has played an active role in the development of the ELT in the middle school in China. Meanwhile, two principles used in the JEFC material adaptation are discussed.
