摘要
本文提出了一种“背景”消除的图象压缩方法,该法适用于块状结构的图象压缩,“背景”象素定义为:“差分图象”象素值为零值的象素,文中首先描述了这一编码方法的原理,然后给出了编码和重建图象的算法,并以实验结果与等值线编码及差分编码的压缩效果作了比较。
This paper proposes a method for compressing picture with 'background' neglected, which is useful for compressing the pictures characterized by block structure. The 'background' is defined as the '0' element of the 'differential picture'. After describing the principle of this method, the encoding and the decoding algorithms are presented. Experimental results show that this method is more effective for compressing pictures than the 昪ontour encoding and the 'differential encoding' method.
