摘要
本文是应吉林省《图书馆学研究》编辑部组织的网络环境下“图书馆定义”大讨论而撰写。文章阐述了建构图书馆新定义的必要性;对19世纪以来国内外图书馆定义的研究进行了回顾与评论;对如何建构图书馆新定义、网络环境下的图书馆定义,以及图书馆定义的有限性进行了比较系统的论述。
This article expounds the necessity to construct a new definition of library; reviews and comments on researches into definition of library since the 19th century; discusses its method and limit; defines the library under network conditions.
