The synthesis of organotin hydrides and theirapplications in organic synthesis are reviewedin this paper.Organotin hydrides can selectivelytransfer C—X(X=halogen,OH,SR^1,Se,NH_2,NO_2,COOH)into C—H bonds,and add tounsaturated groups.The applications also includeintra-or inter-molecular carbon-carbon coupling,palladium-catalyzed formylation,ring-opening andring-expansion reactions.
