摘要
贝壳堤是渤海湾西岸、西北岸近五六千年以来成陆过程中的一类重要地质现象。它的发育规模、时间跨度和所包含的地质古环境信息在第四纪地质研究中占有重要的位置。在整理总结前人有关贝壳堤研究的基础上 ,介绍了贝壳堤研究的现状、方法和意义 。
Chenier is an important geological phenomenon occurring during the continent-building process since almost 5 000～6 000 years ago on the west and northwest of the Bohai Bay. The development scale, time span and geo-environmental information of the chenier plays a crucial role in the researches of Quaternary geology. The authors, on the basis of some previous chenier studies, introduce the situation, methods and significance of the chenier researches, and also show some problems needed to be solved and treated.
