摘要
章鸿钊(1877～1951)、丁文江(1887～1936)、翁文灏(1889～1971)、李四光(1889～1971)均是中国近代地质学的奠基人,中国早期地质科学事业的开拓者,他们之间合作无间的关系是非常难能可贵的,影响也是深远的,共同开拓促进中国近代地质学的发展,功莫大焉。
Prof. Zhang Hongzhao (1877～1951), Ding Wenjiang (1887～1936), Weng Wenhao (1889～1971) and Li Siguang(1889～1971) were the four pioneers of the recent geoscience in China. It was they who introduced the recent geoscieuce to China from Japan, England and Belgium. They actively raised geological faculty and were engaged in geological field research, edited and wrote the research reports, wrote articles about the geoscience, mapped the regional geological maps, published expert works on geoscience, organized the geological research organizations, united the geoscientifie unions. They were the founders of the recent geoscience in China and the founders of the Geological Society of China. They are listed in the above order, each had his own merits, and the last was superior to others and the contribution of Li Siguang was more superior than the first three's.
