It is very important for the technologists of broadcasting and TV to grasp SDH basic knowledge and to know an alarm mechanism of SDH function as defending SDH network. Introduces SDH frame, section overhead, path overhead, a basic structure of synchronous multiplexer and mapping, alignment and pointer, a forms of SDH equipment function mould. According to a function of section overhead, a functionof alignment and pointer, a function of SDH mould, analyses an alarm signal mechanism of SDH function.
