I he author introduces the reason for the inside/outside wall corrosion in underground pipelines and metal oil tanks in petrochemical industry. Under the condition that the material of the underground pipeline is already unchangeable, the main method for corrosion prevention is to use non-metallic coating, and install cathodic protection utility.
