摘要
媒体如何报道一个国家从本质上反映了美国主流社会当时对这个国家的看法。冷战后的国际形势以及美国人长期以来形成的对中国的看法,决定了20世纪90年代美国人对中国的看法不会太好,这在媒体上得到了充分的反映。
Media's nature' can not supply answer to there questions. In reality, how the U.S. media portray a certain country reflects the image that the mainstream Americans hold about the country. China's negative image in the U.S. media in the 1990s, for instance, is a result of the changed international relations after the end of the Cold War and the longheld opinion of China by the Americans.
