摘要
介绍了国外整体语言教学法的教学原则和在课堂上如何实际应用以及对整体语言教学法的争议,同时结合我国大学公共英语教学现状,提出借鉴整体语言教学法的理念和提高学生英语语言实际运用能力的途径。
This paper introduces the whole language approach, summarizing its principle and its application in language teaching as well as some controversial issues on the whole language approach. It is suggested that some of the ideas from the whole language approach can be adopted as a remedy for the overemphasis on rules and rote learning in the English language teaching in our country.
