摘要
This paper discusses the role of Web caching, analyses some major topics in Web caching research, such asWeb cache's architectures,design techniques,deployment policies and,inter-caohe communication protocols for dis-tributed cache servers ,and multimedia proxy caching systems. Besides, some open problems in this field are also pre-sented.
